Reflexivity

DE: Reflexivität

Examining one’s own contribution to the conditions, assumptions and decisions that shape organisational action.

Reflection helps people understand organisational patterns. Reflexivity also examines how their own observations, decisions and reactions have contributed to those patterns.

Leaders, executives and advisors may have established the targets or assumptions that now make change difficult. Reflexivity makes their contribution discussable and reveals where they can intervene themselves, while preserving the need to weigh interests and systemic consequences.
