Design Responsibility for Interpretation

DE: Gestaltungsverantwortung für Deutung

Responsibility for explanations, their assumptions and effects on others, including the willingness to revisit them.

Describing reality shapes which causes become visible, which questions are asked and who is held responsible. Design responsibility for interpretation means making assumptions explicit, observing effects on others and remaining willing to reopen a persuasive explanation. Responsibility does not end at publication. Good intentions and polished language, including AI-generated language, do not replace examination of underlying assumptions.
