Decision Architecture

Decision framework

DE: Entscheidungsrahmen

Agreed boundaries, information and responsibilities that enable independent decisions and clarify when consultation is required.

A decision framework defines practical room for action: which decisions people may take independently, what information they need and which risks require additional review.

It requires support across leadership levels. An unwanted outcome calls for examining whether the agreed boundaries were respected and whether information or boundaries need revision. The framework develops through reviewing its effects rather than automatically reinstating old controls.
