Entscheidung

Decision Space

DE: Entscheidungsraum

The real latitude in which a role can decide independently and carry the consequences.

Decision latitude describes the scope in which a role may decide independently — including the criteria, boundaries and escalation paths that make this scope reliable rather than arbitrary.

Context

Where decision latitude is unclear, organisations either escalate everything or decide inconsistently. Clear latitude is what allows speed and accountability to coexist — especially when systems co-produce decisions.
