Reading Effect

DE: Wirkungslesefähigkeit

The capability to read what a design actually triggers in daily work, independent of its intention.

Reading effect is the capability to recognise what a design actually triggers in daily work — in decisions, silence, workarounds and side effects — independent of what it was intended to achieve.

Context

Organisations measure implementation far more often than effect. Where effect is not read, weak design logic simply continues — faster, and with better reporting.
